Please feel free to visit www.hearthsidecuups.com All of our rituals will be placed on their, member information, upcoming events, pictures etc....will be uploaded to this site. Please check back from time to time for updated information! December 2008 Our Church Has a CUUPS Chapter!! Merry Meet! I'm so very pleased to announce that the First Universalist Society of Salem has its own CUUPS (Covenant of Universalist Unitarian Pagans) Chapter as of December 1, 2008. The Chapter has been named The Hearthside for its warmth and its inviting nature. Currently we are in the process of being able to offer some wonderful community programs such as Adult and possibly Childrens Religious Education, babysitting services for those who wish to attend but would like to have their children entertained while they are at various programs, rituals etc. We are looking at various workshops, movie nights, field trips and general gatherings. CUUPS will start holding rituals for each of the eight sabbats starting in January for Imbolc and I am extending an invitation to any and all who may want to join us for this celebration. As well, there will be a website which will be linked to the church’s website so that we can keep it updated with events and programs being offered. It is my hope that with the emergence of this new Chapter, we can continue to offer a well rounded spiritual program that will support not only our own congregation’s needs but that of the greater community. So, please join me in the welcoming of CUUPS Chapter The Hearthside and I look forward to being able to offer this program and want to thank everyone here for allowing me to bring this program back to the church!
